Gregg Carlstrom graduated from Northwestern University in 2007, with a degree in journalism and a minor in political science. He studied at the American University of Cairo in the spring of 2006, and worked for six months at Egypt Today, a monthly newsmagazine based in Cairo. He also spent some time freelancing in the region in the summer and fall of 2007. Gregg currently lives in Washington, D.C.
