Israel has threatened retribution against Gaza after a rocket from the Strip exploded in Israel, killing a foreign worker from Thailand, reports Al-Jazeera English.  The attack came during EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton's visit to Gaza.

Fatah's Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade has claimed credit for firing the projectile, Ma'an News Agency reports.  The worker was killed in Ashkelon.  This has been the first deadly attack from Gaza since the 22-day Israeli offensive in 2008-2009.
